Creating and sharing my songs makes me most happy those days - although, the competition with being at the ocean is real ;) To be able to make art with my voice and melodies is very special to me, and noticing how people are moved by my melodies and lyrics even more.

It's been a lifelong practice. Singing in school musicals, showers, on beaches and music jams. I could never really write a song though, but then it happened, back in January '21 in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. I was on a canoe trip with two new friends, when we passed the sign with "Sibuya" on it. I found it a beautiful word, asked my friends what it meant in the local language Xhosa which was "We will return". This was the inspiration for my first song and it was like a music book in me opened. Within a week's time I had written 5 songs, and many continued due to inspirations like the meaning of names, words in books, or just an event.

I write my songs to encourage you to be present and positive, and feel embraced by the power of yourself and spirit. I believe that all you need is already within you and it is the (not always so easy) journey to believe in this, and see the magic appear around you.
